Test-Retest Reliability of Five Times Sit to Stand Test (FTSST) in Adults: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Functional independence in adults is conditioned by lower limb muscle strength. Thus, it seems important to assess strength using reliable and easy reproduce measurements. The purpose of this study was conduct a systematic review meta-analysis collect studies that examined the test-retest reliability Five Times Sit Stand Test (FTSST) adults. search conducted PubMed, Web Science, Scopus databases, including all published up 28 December 2020. To be included, had include relative scores (ICC) maximum torque or standard error measurements (SEM) FTSST. A total 693 were initially identified, but only 8 met eligibility criteria included meta-analysis, covering 14 groups with 400 participants. Relative inter-rater results (ICC = 0.937, p < 0.001, n 400) revealed excellent FTSST sitting standing performance, limbs balance control. Conclusion: highly tool for assessing strength, control, mobility both healthy those pathologies.

This study investigated test-retest reliability of sensor-based sit-to-stand (STS) peak power and other STS measures in young and older adults. In addition, test-retest reliability of the sensor method was compared to test-retest reliability of the Timed Up and Go Test (TUGT) and Five-Times-Sit-to-Stand Test (FTSST) in older adults. Ten healthy young female adults (20-23 years) and 31 older adu...
متن کاملFalls classification using tri-axial accelerometers during the five-times-sit-to-stand test.
The five-times-sit-to-stand test (FTSS) is an established assessment of lower limb strength, balance dysfunction and falls risk. Clinically, the time taken to complete the task is recorded with longer times indicating increased falls risk. Quantifying the movement using tri-axial accelerometers may provide a more objective and potentially more accurate falls risk estimate. 39 older adults, 19 w...
